In 9-ball, you always have to hit the lowest numbered ball on the table, which will be shortly marked at the beginning of every turn. In order to win, the ninth ball (the only striped ball on the table) has to be pocketed without a foul. Notice that it doesn’t matter if you pocket it early on or later in the game, as long as you first hit the lowest numbered ball on that turn. Therefore, combination shots are a great way to achieve victory early on. |
